TALKS

The Trust's chief officer Heather Thomas gives illustrated talks and presentations on her experiences in Rwanda and the work of the Trust, painting a picture of life in Rwanda today, and describing its recent past.

This excellent, thought-provoking and informative talk is suitable for all ages and can be tailored to individual groups. Lasting usually between 20 minutes and 1 hour, Heather is happy to discuss the details or specific requirements in advance of booking.

Talks can be delivered in a range of venues, and Heather is happy to travel to venues within a 30-mile radius of Bakewell, Derbyshire. However, please do get in touch if you are farther away and we can discuss how we can work with you to promote the Trust.

Heather makes no charge but any donations go to The Goboka Rwanda Trust. If you are interested in hearing one of these fascinating talks, please contact us.

If you wish, Heather will bring a variety of goods with her to her talks, items made by the students supported in our Sewing Schools. Beautiful padded, colourful bags, aprons, bags-in-a-bag (to keep in your handbag for that unplanned shopping trip), large and small elephants and giraffe, and items of jewellery. She will also bring along the gift cards which can be purchased via our shop.

Payment can be made at the talks by cash, cheque or BACS.
